1995 Michael had a new British Team Mate in Johnny Herbert. They had raced together previously in Japanese Formula 3000. - ("I have raced against him a lot so I know how talented he is - And I know about his sense of humour too!)

This Year saw a good straight fight for the title and Again Michael & Damon Hill were the two main contenders.
Michael had 9 wins, 11 podium finishes & 5 retirements, Hill had 4 wins, 9 podium finishes & 6 retirements.
The Season highlight had to be Spa, where problems in qualifying left Michael 16th on the grid and in changing wet / dry conditions he came through to take the win some 20 seconds ahead of 2nd place Hill.

Hill (Williams-Renault) second on 69 points, Coultard (Williams-Renault) Third on 49 & Johnny Herbert 4th with 45.
